Running Like in the Good Old Days – The Race We Never Experienced

We miss the days when running wasn’t just about times, results, and fancy gadgets. A time we’ve never been a part of, but one we dream of as how running should be. Simple, raw, and authentic. A time when it wasn’t just about running fast, but about the community, the joy, and the pure love for the sport.

First and foremost, it’s about being together. You show up on race day and feel the excitement in the air. Everyone is there for one reason—to share an experience. You stand shoulder to shoulder, some nervous, others relaxed, but all united by a shared excitement for what’s about to happen. Today, you’re competitors, but afterward, you’re friends, swapping stories from the course and laughing about sore muscles and minor mishaps.

This is where we lay it all out. It’s not about how others perform but about how you feel when you cross the finish line. You ask yourself: “Did I give it my best?” Or maybe: “Can I do even better next time?” It’s a battle against yourself—against your own laziness, your own fears, and your own limits. Not to win a medal, but to chase that feeling of satisfaction that lingers in your body afterward.

After the race, it’s not about the perfect Instagram post but about finding the right people. The ones standing next to you with sweaty brows and big smiles. The ones sharing a cold beer or a cup of coffee and talking about the race—not necessarily the times, but how it felt. Were the hills as tough as they looked? Wasn’t the atmosphere along the course incredible? It’s about the community, finding joy in something as simple as running.

CRRS is the dream of a time when all the unnecessary stuff is stripped away. When it’s not about the latest gear or sticking to a strict training plan, but about the joy of lacing up your shoes and giving your best. It’s running as we imagine it used to be—and as we dream it can be again.
